Stop Continental Drift!
An update on the cause, by Joe Michie:
Holly Cow, We've done it. We've put the cause of Stopping Continental Drift on the map.
Saturday night Cougar and I went to a Death Cab for Cutie concert (they are a indie band starting to make it big thanks to the OC and Wedding Crashers playing their music).
Afterward we walked into Sancho's Broken Arrow, a hippie themed bar on Colfax. The opening band, Youth Group walks in and we recognize the lead singer because of his huge fro. They are an up and coming band and this is the largest venue they've played, but they are really popular in Australia where they are from. We some how start doing shots with the whole band. They were crazy.
I was wearing my STOP CONTINENTAL DRIFT shirt. They asked me what that was about. I told them that if we reversed continental drift Australia would be closer and they wouldn't have to fly everywhere on their tour. I also said that deer and kangaroos would start mating then. They really liked the idea of brining the continents together and said that would be a good idea for a song or album artwork.
