Oops!
What happened to the Cats last night? Now they have to play West Virginia today too. Now I won't get too mean because Michigan State has the Maui to contend with. However, I will point out that Fluke was too pussy to join the Guardians or the Maui. They were extended invitations to both and they're only set up to play Texas before conference play. Why didn't they want to play serious competition EZT? Maybe K knows they're not worth that #1 rating?

They chocked, pure and simple. I think Tubby was testing them, because UK had 2 timeouts, and he didn't call one in the last minute (until the game was over, anyways). I was pretty frustrated, but there HAS to be a reason it happened the way it did, because I've never seen Tubby not call a timeout and set up a play when they're down by 2-3 points with anywhere under 40 seconds left. Frustrating.
I will point out that Rondo, who is 6'1" on a good day, had 19 rebounds, and their JUCO transfer, PF Rekalin Sims, had 22 points, including 4 3's. There were some positives to take away.
The biggest thing here is that if Randolph Morris isn't reinstated by the NCAA, it is going to be a long season, because despite having three players 7' and over, only one has any kind of real basketball talent, and he's a freshman that really won't be ready until his junior year or so. UGG.

If i remember correctly Duke was scheduled to play in a t-giving week tourney in Alaska that didn't end up happening. They always do one trip to either hawaii or alaska at either xmas or this week.

I was actually pretty impressed with Iowa, they have some active big guys and some white guys that can shoot. They might be a team to watch in the Big Ten, and they don't play football, like most teams in the Big Ten.

The team I was most impressed with yesterday was West Virginia, despite the fact they lost that game. They had a three point lead over #2 Texas with 30 seconds to go and they simply choked on free throws. That team is going to be dangerous come tourney time with all of those shooters. That game also had one of the better blatently stupid comedy moments I've ever heard. Pittsnogle made a three and Musberger randomly yelled out, "You just got Pittsnogled!" And then everyone in the booth just starts cracking up like it was the funniest joke in the world. I think he had an open container in the booth.
There were several open containers in that booth last night. Along with possession of marijuiana. My God, they thought they were Laurel and Hardy. And they certainly were not.
I am not going to be too surprised if UK comes out tonight being 2-2. Of course, I expect UK to win (every game), but I am trying to mentally prepare myself for this situation, because it very well could happen.
