Sigh of Relief...
I don't know how this hasn't been discussed yet, because I believe it was in our NU debates, but Josh Freeman, the number four rated quarterback in the country (according to Rivals.com), is solid in his committment. There was a strong rumor (and apparently had some truth to it) that he was taking an official visit to Oklahoma.
I cannot put up any part of the article from Rivals, but basically he had a trip scheduled, and some future teammates apparently talked him out of it and he cancelled. Thank God--from everything that has been said about the kid, Harrison Beck might have seen the field this past week for the first time, and for the last time.
Sorry if everyone already knew this.

GA, I think the reason he was going to go was not to check out the OU program. I read somewhere that he was going to go because he had a friend playing for OSU (OU's opponent that weekend) and wanted to see him play in person. Maybe I'm thinking of someone else. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That might be why, but he did originally committ to Stoops that was taking an official, then cancelled.
He has friends that play on both teams...BUT Stoops was being snaky. It's been reported that he has been telling Husker recruits Callahan won't be there next year. Both Stoops bros. are about as dirty as they come when it comes to recruiting. Only Fat Phil at Tenne$$ee is worse.
