Speaking of our new Christmas monkey...

I hate the Yankees. What a bad signing though. Damon is not a 13 Million dollar guy, and he especially will not be one in 3 years.
For once, I totally agree. However, when Furcal gets $10M a year, the market dictates that Damon probably should get that money. He's a much better leadoff guy than Furcal (not that Furcal is anything to look down on).
It is ridiculous. Like Kyle Farnsworth getting his $15 million contract.

Furcal is also an amazing SS. He has the stongest arm for an infielder that I have ever seen. Plus he is 27 not 32 years old. Statistically they are not that far apart. If I was making a team and I could have one or the other, I would take Furcal.
I had no idea the Farns signed for that kind of money. What a joke baseball is.

Oh, I would take Furcal, too. But as strictly a leadoff hitter, Damon is better. Plus, he is basically the only center fielder worth a shit available this year. Plus it is the Yankees.
The Dodgers and the Mets make me laugh every year.
The Furcal signing is absurd.
Baseball sucks. What a stupid business model. At what point do they not realize that the NFL is making so much more money and putting out a much better product?
The last 10 years have shown the NFL to be the best professional sport.

When is the last time the Yankees made a good trade or got a great deal on a free agent? Yet they are favorites to win the World Series ever year. F'ing retarded.
