THERE IS A RAISING CANES JOINT COMING TO NEBRASKA!!!! This is news you can't even get on their website, friends.

It is opening in Lincoln, which sucks for us a little bit. But the fact that we don't have to go to Louisiana anymore to dine at the best fast food place in the world is terribly exciting.

For those who do not know, Raising Canes is a fast food place that serves chicken strips. That's it. Chicken strips. And awesome frieds, and some secret sauce that is addictive as heroin. There's just not enough words in the English language that can possibly do this place justice.

If this place is open at some point during the college football season, 2006 will go down as my favorite Nebraska season ever.

Speaking of which, has anyone read the new Athlon pre-season magazine yet? I don't know why I donate my $12 a year on their football and basketball previews, because they are both misinformed and frustrating. They've got Nebraska at #25, and have Zac Taylor as the third best quarterback in the Big XII. I find this laughable. They don't even have out linebackers as the best in the Big XII (I think they were third). This is ridiculous. We've got probably three or four linebackers that could start for ANY team in the Big XII. I think the only thing they got right was that our defensive line is the best. I think this is clear. But I don't know how they have us ranked #25, yet they only predict that we'll lose two games (USC and Texas). Wouldn't that have us in the 10-15 range at the end of the season?
