He's "N"

It's official (or almost completely official), Sam Keller is a Husker.

Now this board is full of negative people...somebody, anybody tell me why this isn't incredible for the skers??????
I haven't been this pumped as husker fan in a long time...somebody post the normal negative spin and bring me back down to earth because i am thinking right now that he is worth 2 wins next year...Pete, Todd, somebody help with spewing something about how he will never fit the system, 1 year player, blah blah blah

Comments:
EZT--I don't feel it's a bad thing for the Huskers at all. Basically, I look at it as this guy would only have one less year than Harrison Beck next year, which really doesn't sound that bad. Also, I think it gives us a chance to get that Witt kid and Hildebrand a year to evaluate who will win that competition in 2008.

My only complaints would be the typical anti-Husker fan sentiments I normally spew: The same a-holes that called Harrison Beck a pussy two weeks ago are already slurping this guy off. There really isn't much of a difference between these guys in all reality.

Overall I give this transfer an 8/10, there isn't much downside here that I can see. If it doesn't work out, it's one year and gone, if it does, this guy is better than Zach Taylor in theory and a proven commodity. I just hope that eventually we don't have to rely on JUCO's and transfers to play QB.

Pete i agree on you last point...i hope we get past that at some time, but with us being at a recruiting disadvantage in terms of getting hs kids from TX, FL, and CA we may always have to bring in a few for depth.

And for the record i am definately one of those people slurping this guy off. I think he gives us a legit chance to be a big xii contender next year if we can find a secondary...speaking of which we will easily have the best scout team qb in america this year which should help the secondary in every practice. This is a win all the way around for NU.

"There really isn't much of a difference between these guys in all reality."

Other than the fact that one left a program after not getting enough practice reps based on his 1-10 career completion att/comp ratio and the other left a program after he was named the starter coming off a season when he was mentioned as a heisman candidate after tearing up several quality defenses and then had that spot mysteriously taken from him a few days later when his coach changed his mind.

Other than that, pretty much the same.

They're exactly the same. They were both unhappy that they weren't higher on the depth chart and quit the team. The rest is just semantics.

I was in Tempe while this story was breaking. . .The good people in Arizona are pissed that he is leaving
