Thank you Sen. Bill Frist
I don’t know if anyone knows this, or cares, but the government just recently passed a bill that will make online poker illegal for US residents. I disagree with the law, and really disagree with the way it was passed. Our Senate majority leader attached the poker prohibition to the Port Security Act. What does poker have in common with the Port Security Act? Nothing. The Port Security Act is a defense bill designed to booster our nation’s ports. The prohibition was added to this bill as a way of eliminating any debate over the subject of online poker. Poker is a skill game and is not gambling. A large portion of my income comes from poker and now it is going to be taken away without the subject even being debated. I just don’t understand. Why can’t they tax online poker, that’s what the Brits did. Just a very shady, shady deal.

I've read all about it and think it's complete horseshit...But no matter how hard they try the will never be able to completely regulate online gambling. The poker companies seem a like they are going to comply with the new law a lot more than the online sports gambling people.
