Tubby is out at Kentucky...
and moves to Minnesota? GA has probably been ranting about this for a solid 3 hours by now which is why there hasn't been a post yet.

i actually just called him about 30 min. ago to make fun of him and he hadn't even heard about it yet. Nothing like losing your head coach to a perennial 15 win team. This is about like Rick Barnes deciding to leave Austin and take over the Huskers.

Christ, you really think that Tubby took the Minnesota job because it is a better job than UK? Tubby was told to fire his assistants or he would be fired, and he chose to resign. The guy is loyal to a fault.
It is too bad, as I have told the 3,000 people who have called/texted me tonight, because I had hoped that he would retire at UK. That said, it was probably time to go. I'll miss Tubby and his crazy stare, but I probably won't miss not beating a single Top 25 team in an entire season.
Great hire for Minnesota, though. They're coming off a 22-loss season, and Tubby is far too good a coach to not get them into the tourney here in the next two or three years. He'll be a hero there.
