The "Holy Shit, Was I Wrong" Line Forms....Here.
Alright, I don't mean to be all "I told you so," but...
I told you so.
Until LeBron James develops a jump shot, he and the Cavs are not going to come close to sniffing a NBA Championship. Nada. Nowhere near.
And spare me the "King" nickname for Bron Bron. How can you call someone "King" when, after watching this series, you would seriously consider--in the hypothetical "who would you take if you were starting a NBA team from scratch" scenario--taking Tony Parker over LeBron?
I think Mr. "Global Icon" should probably worry about his jump shot before ascending to the status he so desires.
And for those who started liberally throwing around the MJ comparisons--*ahem,* Hales, *ahem*--why don't we compare Jordan and LeBron's first appearance in the Finals:
Jordan: 31.1 PPG, 8.4 APG, 6.4 RPG, 52% FG, 39% 3FG, 86% FT
James: 21.3 PPG, 5.7 APG, 7.3 RPG, 36.6% FG, 15% 3FG, 77% FT
Yikes...that whole statistical analysis thing really pokes holes in that comparison, doesn't it?
I'm off to bed before this game gets over, so it is conceivable that the Cavs could somehow win this game. But I'll tell you one thing--when you're at home, and you hold Tim Duncan to two of his worst games he has ever played, not to mention holding Manu to 1 (!) point in Game 3, and STILL lose??
There is NOT A CHANCE in the world that this would have happened to Jordan.

Lebron is 22. Jordan was 28. If I remember correctly, Jordan got shut down by the Pistons every year before Pippen emerged and they won the 91 trophy. Granted, I don't go in for the Lebron is the new Jordan or Kobe is the new Jordan arguments, but GA, you need to stop freaking out about whether one of the young superstars is going to surpass Jordan on the All-time list. Jordan was a freak of nature who was so psychotically competitive that he would probably slam on his son in a father/son game, but that's also what made him arguably the greatest player of all time.
Just because people are looking for individual players to revive a dying league doesn't actually mean that they think players are better than Jordan and even if they do they're entitled to their own opinion. You act like your opinion is truth and get all upset when I say that Jordan was a pompous ass or Hales compares King James to Jordan, but I just do it to piss you off and people are naturally going to compare great players of the present to those of the past. People compared Jordan to Jerry West and George Girvin.
You just can't say defacto that Jordan was the greatest player of all time. He was the best shooting guard of all time. Shaq, Wilt, or Kareem is probably the best center. Tim Duncan has probably cemented himself as the greatest power forward of all time. Larry Bird was the greatest small forward of all time. And either Oscar Robertson or Magic was the greatest point guard of all time. Each of those players added something different to the game and probably has just as good a claim to the title greatest ever.
I guess my point got lost somewhere in there, but what we have to remember is that people forget the past too quickly and want what and who they're watching in the present to be the greatest ever. Everyone knows Jordan was great, but they want someone to come along and do better. That's why people start comparing Lebron and Kobe to Jordan, because they want to see those two turn into the same unstoppable monster that Jordan was.

I'm going to go ahead and throw the flag on GA for a gross mis-use of numbers to prove his point.
Age and surrounding cast probably should be taken into account in your little statistical analysis.
