The Bars Will Be Safe...
...as Nebraska passes smoking ban. I couldn't be happier about this.
And yes, GA, just like health inspections, zoning, building inspections, etc, the government is telling you what you can do with your private business. And saving people from secondhand smoke, which kills you.

Just ridiculous. Unbelievable.
I'm just glad that they were able to quote the excited special-interests involved in this vote. I also thoroughly enjoyed voting on this.
Whoops, I didn't get to.
I get tired of this argument, but I'll say it one more time:
If you don't want to go to a smoky bar, DON'T FUCKING GO.
I love the nanny state! Thanks, 34 people who decided what's best for the other 1.7 million of us.

I mis-typed up there. What I meant to say is "Thanks, 34 self-righteous fucks who decided what's best for the other 1.7 million of us."
It's not that big of a deal to step outside to smoke.
It's not the smoker losing his rights, it's the non-smoker getting his rights back.

No, mayfield, it is the business owner losing his rights. Period.
But thank God we've got people like our state politicians saving us from ourselves...after all, they know better how to run your business and where you should hang out better than you do.
You guys are unreal.

I'll never understand why it took the state this long to get this law passed. Should have been done a couple years ago.
Hold on GA....so its wrong for elected officials to make laws without putting them to a popular vote?
