Yeah, I agree. I guess I don't see what's wrong with doing some silly, over-the-top things that are ultimately positive and promote responsibility at a silly, over-the-top spectacle. None of what they're doing is actually bad, right?
I thought it was funnier that the Republican guy's position was basically, "Healthy food? Recycling? Carbon neutrality? What a bunch of assholes."

Jesus, if you guys cannot see the humor in how ridiculous some of those quotes are, I'm afraid you've lost your senses of humor.
I mean, explain to me how insisting on organic cotton, UNION-made in the USA hats are making the planet "greener."
And the fact that there are people who are upset that Coors is DONATING biofuel because Pete Coors is a Republican basically sums everything up for you right there. "Being 'green' is a liberal issue. If a big corporation that leans Republican contributes, it doesn't count."
It's fucking ridiculous. You guys have to be able to see the humor in this, regardless of party affiliation.

Kudos to Coors for looking past partisan lines and doing something to benefit Denver, the planet, and the country. And for the record Coors has allegedly done some fairly awful things in its past that are fairly well-known, at least in Colorado, that the article touches on. I'm not sure if they were true, or justified, or whatever, but this isn't the first time that I've heard such things. I guess what I'm saying is that there have been some problems with them and the public at large in the past, meaning they will always be somewhat polarizing so this really isn't surprising.
Now, allow us all to bask in the irony of repeatedly hearing how much of a partisan issue the environment is. From Republicans. Every time I hear that statement.

There might be a few hundred reasons that organically grown food and goods manufactured in close regional proximity to their end use "green the planet". But, dead horses sink ships.
